Triumph Group to Provide Gulfstream G500/600 Wing Components and Steering Column

[Avionics Today 10-30-2014] Triumph Group has been selected by Gulfstream Aerospace and UTC Aerospace to provide the wing structural components and the nose wheel steering system for the G500/600 aircraft.

Triumph Aerostructures – Vought Aircraft Division will build wing structural components for the G500/600 business jet under a contract worth approximately $250 million. Production of the structural components will be performed at the company’s facilities in Nashville, Tenn., and Los Angeles, Calif.

Triumph Actuation Systems has also been selected by UTC Aerospace Systems to design and build the G500/600 nose wheel steering system. The contract is worth approximately $80 million, with the design and build being performed at the company’s facilities in Bloomfield and East Lyme, Conn.
