[Avionics Today 11-20-2014] Business and General Aviation (GA) avionics sales this summer dropped 5 percent, according to the Aircraft Electronics Association’s (AEA) third-quarter 2014 Avionics Market Report.
In the three-month period of July, August and September 2014, total worldwide business and GA avionics sales amounted to more than $614 million, a 5 percent decrease from the third quarter of 2013, as reported by the participating companies.
Despite the third quarter indicating a slowdown in sales when compared to the first and second quarters of 2014, this year’s sales are up 2.7 percent compared to the first nine months of 2013. Worldwide sales for the year so far total more than $1.9 billion.
