[Avionics Today 12-17-14] Gogo Vision will power Alaska Airlines new streaming video entertainment product, Alaska Beyond Entertainment, the companies announced. The new entertainment option offers passengers the ability to stream movies, TV shows and free exclusive content to their personal electronic devices. The service is available today on 50 of the airline’s Boeing 737 aircraft, and will be available on nearly all aircraft by April 2015.
Movies are stored on Gogo servers on the aircraft, and can be viewed on select iOS and Android devices.
