[Avionics Today 02-04-2015] Intertrade, a Rockwell Collins subsidiary that distributes new and recertified engine and airframe parts, has opened a new distribution center at the Singapore Changi Airport to store and ship inventory. The warehouse, operated by SDV Logistics, will initially stock Next-Generation Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and ATR 72 inventory, as well as other avionics, aircraft components, and engine parts.

“The investment in a Singapore distribution center brings significant benefits to our Asia-Pacific customers, namely quicker delivery and reduced shipping costs,” said Shawn Berquist, director of Intertrade, noting that the new facility will allow the company to respond same-day to Asia-Pacific customers — a region that is currently exploding in terms of air traffic.
