[Avionics Today 02-10-2015] Harris Corporation reported revenue of $1.21 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2015. This included the manufacturer’s government communication systems division posting a fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year revenue growth.

During the second quarter, the FAA awarded Harris a 10-year $98 million follow-on contract for the he Operational and Supportability Implementation System II (OASIS II) that integrates real-time weather and flight planning data for Alaska air travel. Revenue for the government communications systems segment increased by 5 percent to $454 million compared to $433 million during the second quarter of 2014.
Harris has reported that its 2015 guidance is expected to decline 1 to 3 percent compared to the prior year, although the government contractor did not include the recent acquisition of Exelis under its 2015 financial outlook.
