[Avionics Today 02-13-2015] Gogo’s commercial aviation operation has earned AS9100 aerospace quality certification, an internationally recognized Quality Management System (QMS) standard for the aviation, space and defense industries. The certification satisfies a major requirement that is necessary for Gogo’s technologies to become a line fit option with commercial aircraft manufacturers. The In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) provider has already held this certification for its business aviation operation for several years and currently has line fit capability for Bombardier, Dassault Falcon Jet, Embraer, Gulfstream and Textron.

Gogo is targeting to have line fit evaluations for Boeing aircraft completed for its in-cabin network, Gogo Vision and Ku-band satellite solution in 2015 and for its Ka-band satellite solution in 2016. In addition, Gogo currently has an agreement in place with Boeing for line-fit provisions for its ATG-4 technologies on 737NG aircraft. The provisioning will allow airlines to make some modifications needed on new aircraft to improve the installation process for the ATG-4 service after an airline takes delivery.
