[Avionics Today 02-17-2015] DAC International has partnered with ABC Completions on to convert an existing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) mount into an iPad tablet mount. The FAA recently approved ABC Completions for a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the iPad and iPad Air as a Class 2 EFB. Under the new partnership, DAC International will provide two GDC-64 TAIUs that supply electrical power for recharging the tablets batteries, as an interface to the aircraft’s Flight Management System (FMS) for display of aircraft’s position, and for presentation of graphical weather from an optional XM weather receiver.
