[Avionics Today 02-23-2015] Jonal Laboratories has signed a long-term agreement with Pratt & Whitney to provide non-metallic rubber-based elastomeric parts. These parts will be used for Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower engines for the Airbus A320neo aircraft, the F135 engines for the F-35 aircraft, and the company’s legacy engine programs.
Under this agreement, Jonal Laboratories will support Pratt & Whitney’s scheduled increase in production, which is projected to more than double by the end of the decade. Pratt & Whitney has more than 6,200 orders and commitments, including options for the PurePower Geared Turbofan engine family, and is the sole provider of F135 engines for the F-35 aircraft.
“At Jonal Laboratories, we’ve invested in new equipment in our facility and are ready to support Pratt & Whitney as they increase production well into the future,” said Marc Nemeth, president of Jonal Laboratories.
