[Avionics Today 04-28-2015] NATS has been awarded a contract to work with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) to advance the growing country’s air navigation services capabilities in anticipation of future traffic growth and challenges. The U.K. Air Navigation Services Provider (ANSP) will build on previous work already carried out over the past four years in conjunction with the CAAS, in order to deliver expertise and best practice procedures and processes.
The four areas of focus for the upgrade include: Air Traffic Management (ATM) operations, Air Traffic Control (ATC) training, safety management and analytics/research. Airbus Prosky will also assist NATS in these areas. The contract work started in March and will run through to 2017, with a total duration of 27 months.
