[Avionics Today 07-31-2015] Commsoft has launched a mobile application, called Open Aviation Strategic Engineering System (OASES), for pilots and line maintenance engineers in the field.
OASES can be accessed through tablets and smart phone devices, including those running Apple, Android, and Microsoft operating systems. Due forecast data can be accessed from the OASES cached forecast allowing for real-time view of maintenance data.
The app can restrict access to aircraft to specified users and be used by third party customers or contractor employees where limited access to specific aircraft data is necessary. The company is planning the development of further apps for use on the hangar floor, warehouses and line maintenance.
