[Avionics Today 10-12-2015] Southwest says it has fixed an issue with its customer service technical power systems that delayed an estimated 836 flights on Sunday. According to the company, despite the issue, about 3,355 of the scheduled flights operated with 75 percent on-time performance.
“Employees worked around issues with primary systems and utilized back-up procedures to get our customers and their checked luggage to their intended destinations,” Southwest said in a statement. The airline turned to backup systems to check in and process passengers.
Southwest noted that it is still working on delivering bags and placing displaced or delayed customers into seats.
