[Avionics Today 10-26-2015] Sun Aviation recently received certification for International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH), a global code of best practices for the Fixed-Based Operator (FBO) and business aviation handling agent community. The IS-BAH is a joint program between International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA). Florida-based Sun Aviation, an FBO and Part 145 maintenance repair facility for the general aviation community, is the second FBO in the United States to earn this distinction.
The IS-BAH is the ground operation complement to IBAC’s International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO).
SNC will begin next phase development in fiscal year 2016 with developmental flight testing, leading to a Milestone-C decision followed by Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) to support qualification and operational testing.
“We look forward to finalizing this phase of the contract, leading to a full-rate production decision in fiscal year 2017/2018,” said Greg Cox, corporate vice president for SNC’s Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS)/Air Traffic Management (ATM) business area.
