[Avionics Today 11-03-2015] GE has entered into new collaborations with technology centers in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT) region aimed at driving digital industrial transformation.
A key feature of GE’s digital industrial strategy is its strong focus on localization to address regional needs. To this effect, GE is opening the Middle East Aviation Technology Center in Dubai, which will develop physics-based analytics, employ data science, and co-create software solutions with the MENAT region’s airlines. The company is also developing the Aviation Test Visualization App on the Predix cloud-based operating system platform, which will have the capability to process real-time big data generated during aircraft engine test operations, contributing to greater efficiency for customers.
These solutions, among other digital and technological partnerships, could help unlock $465 billion in economic value for industry across the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and Pakistan by 2025 annually, according to GE.
