[Avionics Today 01-29-2016] ARC Avionics Corporation (ARC), a business unit of AirSpeed Engineering (ASE) and host MRO Commercial Jet and Universal Avionics integrator, has completed and delivered an avionics-compliant Boing 737-400C for EASA and SESAR operations. ARC has also upgraded a Boeing 737 in accordance with NextGen and SESAR mandates to join a fleet of cargo freighters for Bulgarian-based CarGOAir.
The aircrafts upgrades include: new Universal Dual UNS-1Fw & UL-801 DataLink with center panel EFI-890 Multi-Function Display (MFD); full Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) approach-coupled autopilot capability, panel annunciation & EFIS symbology; Controller Pilot Data Link Capability (CPDLC) Very High Frequency (VHF); Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Contract (ADS-C) and Data over Iridium capability option with TrueNorth Avionics; dual enhanced Mode S transponders, upgradeable for 2020 planning to Automatic Dependent Surveillance- Broadcast (ADS-B), among others.
