[Avionics Magazine 07-25-2016] The Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) program has identified Honeywell’s Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS), a safety solution that improves runway situational awareness for pilots, as a key technology in reducing the potential for runway incursions and excursions. As a result, European airlines will be able to take advantage of grants when acquiring and installing RAAS.
Airlines wishing to take advantage of these incentives must submit their Indication of Interest (IoI) to the SESAR deployment manager by September 13.
