[Avionics Today 09-13-2016] Drone Delivery Canada (DDC) has advanced its commercial testing, achieving payload pickup and drop-off capabilities utilizing its semi-autonomous autopilot system. The autopilot enables automated take off, landings, waypoint navigation and pre-programmed maneuvers.

“These new technical achievements are essential for future commercial operations,” said Tony Di Benedetto, CEO of Drone Delivery Canada

The company is working with several university partners and the Canadian federal government in an effort to reach operational status.
