Chart: Americans Wary of Drone Delivery

[Avionics Magazine 09-16-2016] With companies such as Google and Amazon working to bring Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into our every day lives with drone delivery, and almost every industry evaluating what benefits commercial UAS use could offer, drones are edging in on mainstream American life.

But many Americans are still wary of the technology, according to a survey of Americans conducted by YouGov in August 2016, the same month the FAA’s small commercial UAS rule became effective. With the application of the rule potentially adding 600,000 drones to airspace by the end of the year, four in 10 Americans still report they wouldn’t trust any drone delivery service.
