[Avionics Magazine 12-8-2016] CommutAir is expanding its relationship with The Weather Company, by introducing the IBM subsidiary’s Fusion global tracking and dispatch services technology. According to The Weather Company, Fusion is a flight planning system that pairs historical operational airport data with weather forecasts to provide critical decision-making information regarding flight crews, passengers and overall operations. The Weather Company helps airlines achieve this by processing more than 100 terabytes of aviation weather forecasting and operational airport data per day.
