EASA’s Rotorcraft Sectorial Committee kicked off with a meeting spanning Jan. 24 though Jan. 25, EASA says. The group aims to provide inputs into the EASA Safety Risk Management Process.

Massimo Mazzoletti, head of the EASA Rotorcraft Dept., started the inaugural meeting at EASA headquarters with a welcome speech. The agenda included chair elections, at which members elected three chairs:
• As chairman, Dé Jansen of the European Helicopter Assn., director of Flight, Airworthiness and Training Standards at CHC Helicopter.
• As vice-chairman, Peter Möller of the European Helicopter Association, Flight Operations manager of Luxembourg Air Ambulance and previously managing director of Air Lloyd Deutsche Helicopter Flugservice GmbH.
• As vice chairman, Gilles Bruniaux, ASD, vice president of aviation safety at Airbus Helicopters.
