The Indonesian air force is set to use Inzpire’s Geco Air tablet-based mission system, Inzpire said. With help from Indonesian partner PT Kadomas Aviasindo, Inzpire’s product is to be used on a fleet of five fixed-wing aircraft types.

Geco Air complements existing onboard avionics systems. It’s a commercial off-the-shelf product that can be used as a stand-alone device or integrated into an aircraft. Geco Air has a suite of situational awareness and safety assistance apps, including advanced navigation features overlaid on a wide range of mapping and satellite imagery; a worldwide aeronautical database; and tactical applications such as advanced threat displays, the company said.

U.K.-based Inzpire said its system is in use with the U.K. Royal Navy, Army Air Corps and Royal Air Force, as well as with the Royal Jordanian Air Force.
