Jeppesen has agreed to provide its airport mapping database to Universal Avionics’ new InSight Display System, the Boeing company said. Announced during the National Business Aviation Association convention in Las Vegas, the integration provides the business aviation community with airport diagrams and other information.
Along with the database, Jeppesen is to provide NavData information and cultural data services for the InSight Display System. Jeppesen airport information and enroute flight data can also be displayed in 3-D through Universal Avionics’ platform.
Jeppesen’s database services provide highly detailed, geo-referenced layered airport data on runways, taxiways, structures and other features, Jeppesen said. Its cultural data provides depiction of multiple objects and boundaries.
