IMP Electronic Systems has received a supplemental type certificate from the FAA. Now the company can fit the Hawker Beechcraft 1900D with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 in both the U.S. and Canada.
“Updating legacy flight decks with Pro Line 21™ integrated display system enables a number of key advantages, including enhanced situational awareness, improved reliability and reduced maintenance cost,” said Lee Obst, managing director for Rockwell Collins in Canada. “This is a proven solution with more than 5,000 aircraft already flying worldwide with Pro Line 21.”
The modification kit includes two Rockwell Collins primary flight displays and respective control panels, which would be provided by IMP Electronic Systems. The modification also replace the legacy flight instruments with a suite of Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 components and is fully compliant with ADS-B Out, as well as the latest DO-260B standard. IMP Electronics Systems said it could also provide assistance with installation, if requested.
“We are proud of this accomplishment in receiving the FAA certification for this avionic upgrade and are pleased to offer this modernization package to all operators of the Beechcraft 1900D aircraft,” said Dave Meagher, IMP Electronic Systems VP and general manager. “This upgrade has generated significant interest with Canadian and International B1900D operators and we’re excited to discuss the capabilities and benefits this installation can bring to B1900D operators.”
