Rockwell Collins’ TDR-94/94D Mode S Transponder (Rockwell Collins)
Rockwell Collins has received an approved model list supplemental type certificate (AML-STC) for its ADS-B Out on Part 25 aircraft.
The certification includes the latest TDR-94/94D Mode S transponder variant and covers models from Bombardier, Gulfstream, Textron Aviation and other manufacturers.
The certification pairs the newest transponder with either a Rockwell Collins GPS-4000S Global Positioning System Sensor or FreeFlight Systems 1203C SBAS/GNSS position source. It also supports VIVISUN ADS-B FAIL annunciators from Applied Avionics.
Validations are planned with EASA, Transport Canada and Mexico’s Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics.
Bombardier (CHALET A5, OE26), Gulfstream (Chalet J2), and Textron (L2) are exhibiting at the Farnborough Air Show.
