PODCAST: MIT Professor Arnold Barnett Talks In-flight COVID-19 Study

Arnold Barnett a professor of management science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, published a recent study trying to quantify the odds of catching COVID-19 from flying.

On this episode of the Connected Aircraft Podcast, we discuss a recent study on the risks of in-flight COVID-19 transmissions with Arnold Barnett, a professor of management science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Barnett recently published a study using recent flight, COVID-19 positive cases and other data and research results to approximate the probability that an air traveler in coach will contract COVID-19 on a US domestic flight two hours long, both when all coach seats are full and when all but middle seats are full.
